Avartix ("we", "us") is a business based in Khammam, Telangana, India. We provide a WhatsApp assistant that helps clinics take appointments and send reminders. This page explains what personal data we handle, why, and what your choices are. It is written to follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 of India.

Who is responsible for the data

The clinic you book with decides why your data is used. Avartix handles it on the clinic's behalf to run the booking service. For questions about how a clinic uses your data, please ask the clinic. For questions about how Avartix handles it, write to us at the address below.

What we collect

We do not ask for your name, address, Aadhaar, medical history, symptoms or photographs. Please do not send them in the chat.

What we do with messages

When you type a question, the text is processed by an AI service so that we can answer general questions such as opening hours. We do not keep the text of your chat in our database. The assistant does not give medical advice and is not a substitute for a doctor. If you have an emergency, call the clinic or go to the nearest hospital.

Why we use your data

We start a conversation only because you contacted the clinic. Reminders are sent only for appointments you booked. We do not sell your data and we do not use it to advertise to you.

Who we share it with

We use these providers to run the service: Meta Platforms (WhatsApp), a cloud database provider, a workflow service, and an AI service provider. They process data only to provide their service to us. We may disclose data if the law requires it.

Where it is kept and for how long

Appointment records are kept in a database hosted in India (Mumbai). We keep them while the clinic uses Avartix and for the period the clinic needs them for its own records, and then delete or anonymise them. You can ask us to delete your data sooner.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to withdraw your consent to messages. To stop reminders, reply STOP or ask the clinic. You can also nominate someone to act for you, and you can complain to us first and then to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

If the patient is under 18, the booking should be made by a parent or guardian, and we will treat the person messaging us as that parent or guardian. We do not track children or show them advertising.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections and kept in access-controlled systems. No system is completely secure, and we will tell the clinic and the people affected if there is a breach, as the law requires.

Contact and grievances

Write to hello@avartix.in with the subject "Privacy". We aim to reply within 7 days.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
